I only had a small piece of this puppy-dog print, and it seemed perfect to toss in the mix for this happy, scrappy child's quilt. I didn't fussy-cut the squares at all, but somehow these three little pooches found the perfect way to show up. It makes me smile to think of a sweet little one snuggling with this quilt and playing a quiet little game of "find the puppies."
And this little square shows just how much fun I'm having making this quilt:

How cute!! This reminds me of a quilt we had of little sunflower girls (long long ago) and in my mind each little girl had a personality! Whenever I see the sunflower pattern (the only one I know very well) I think of the special little girl with the yellow hat. Your cute little puppies will prompt lifelong stories for some child for sure!
How fun! You couldn't have planned it that way if you had tried. Nice surprise.
It's very cute! I love the way surprises like that happen.
When I first saw the pictures of the puppy squares, I thought you fussy cut it. I think that it is going to be a wonderful quilt for a child... like you said, they will love finding those puppies peaking out.
I love it when things turn out that way. Whoever gets the quilt will be really happy with it I'm sure. Should I pull out my fabric? I'm almost thinking about it.
What cute little puppies! You really made great use of the fabric!
